Lingerie Set: Finding the Right Style of Lingerie For Your Body Type

Lingerie Set

This article is designed to help you find the right type of lingerie for your body type - but ultimately, you'll need to try on any lingerie you purchase to be sure you feel confident and beautiful, and that it fits properly.

If you are new to lingerie, or trying to find something different to spice up your relationship, the process can be nerve wracking. I find that I prefer shopping from the comfort of my home, where I can take my time and consider my purchase. This is a good idea for someone who may be new to the process or not 100% confident in their body yet.

First, determine your price range. You will never be able to let yourself go if all you think about is how you regret how much you spent on your lingerie! Set a budget and stick to it. Don't give in.

Next, determine your body type. Wikipedia has an excellent article on body types (please refer to our resources at the bottom of the page to find the URL). Generally, there are 4 types of body shapes ; apple, pear, banana, and hourglass.

* Apple
* : You are lucky enough to be graced with broad shoulders and ample chest. Pear
* : You have the privilege of wider hips, with a focus on the rear-end. Banana
* : Skinny Minni! Straight shot, little difference in circumference from waist to bust, or wait to hip. Hourglass
: You have the hips and bust many men lust for.

Identify body features. Some women have nice features we like to play up, like teeny tiny waists, larger breasts, sexy long legs or the perfect butt. All of us have features we like to play down; I'll let you fill in the blanks here!

Time to shop!. Keep in mind your body type, features we want to play up, and features we want to play down. Here's the good stuff;

Large breasts: Consider a teddy, baby doll, bustier or corset with underwire to provide support.
Weight conscious: Self-conscious of your weight or tummy? Consider a teddy or peignoir - both have loose fabric draped from the bottom of the bust to highlight your breasts and take focus from your tummy.
Skinny / Small Bust / Banana Shape: A chemise or camisole highlights your long lines while adding heft to the right areas.
Pear Shaped: Highlight your "assets" with a thongs or G-String panties.
Apple Shaped: Keep with something tight fitting like a bustier corset, or a baby doll with shear cover up. Draping solid fabric off wider shoulders should be avoided.
Hourglass: Go with something short to allow your legs to balance out those hips and chest.
Short: Try a short baby doll, teddy or chemise above the knee to show more leg.
Tall: try a knee length or longer chemise or peignoir to show off your height.
Loose Arms / Thighs: try a chemise with sheer long sleeve cover up.

The Package has arrived! If you are like me and like to shop from home, you will need to try on your new garment once it arrives. If it doesn't fit, SEND IT BACK. if you aren't comfortable in it, you WON'T feel sexy, and your partner will notice. Forget about what he wants and think about what makes you feel good.

Your partner will be most turned on by your behavior, movement and the fact that you are comfortable in your own skin. If this means you need to be covered head to toe, so be it! He will thank you in the end (well, he probably won't "thank" you, but he WILL notice how sexy you act when you really do feel sexy).

I suggest shopping at stores that offer free exchange shipping. This way you (and your wallet) won't feel bad sending it back.
